Our Policies, Procedures & Open Approach
Whilst there is no law to state that any UK funeral director has to be part of any association, it is good practice that any business is underpinned by their own governance and compliance procedures. Here at Amanda-Louise we have our own robust policies and procedures that are reviewed and we are accountable to. We have a range of documents you can view. Our audit trail of documents safely shows how and where your loved one is from the moment we collect them into our care, through to the day of their funeral and thereafter of their cremated ashes until they are back in your safe hands.
Our Talks in the Community
Amanda-Louise has been a professional public speaker for over 30 years, and booked as a key note speaker in a variety of platforms in Somerset, Dorset and Sussex, with small to large audiences including media of radio and television interviews. Previously trained by the BBC in public relations, media and presentation skills has proved useful.
With our fresh approach to death, funerals and grief, our aspirations are to respectfully and sensitively challenge how we view grief and loss. Discussing these topics does not have to be overwhelming with darkness, as appropriate conversations can help reduce fear and anxiety for adults and children. That's why our funeral home isnt sombre or dark; its been carefully designed to move away from the Victoria era funeral parlour.
Being ethical means we have an open approach, and will happily answer any questions honestly. Our doors are open if any of our families wish to participate in any of the care of their loved one whilst in our funeral home, and to visit our mortuary to see our clean facilities.
